Hello and welcome to my website. Thank you for taking a look. I’m Ruth, I live in Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales and work from my little wooden studio in my garden.  

I am inspired by so much – colour, music, nature, images, even a torn piece of paper on the floor!  Once that first spark of creativity crashes into my mind, I put on my music, pick up my brushes and paints. Working intuitively with acrylics, oils and collage I move quickly and intensely at first then gently and thoughtfully, listening to my mind and music, allowing my hands and paints to interpret what I have to say.  I hope to convey a story that is different for each viewer.
